Connect Travel Nurse – Data Management Policy

  1. Data Integrity & Verification

As a specialized nursing agency, we prioritize the accuracy of our clinical database.

  • License Verification: We cross-reference all nursing licenses through the Nursys database and state Boards of Nursing.
  • Credential Updates: Nurses are responsible for ensuring their certifications (BLS, ACLS, etc.) are current. Our system will provide automated alerts 60 days prior to document expiration.
  1. Sensitive Document Handling

We recognize that resumes and licenses contain personal identifiable information (PII).

  • Encryption: All uploaded documents are encrypted “at rest” and “in transit” using SSL technology to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Access Control: Access to your professional file is restricted strictly to the Connect Travel Nurse recruitment and credentialing team. We do not display your full contact details to facilities until a formal interview or contract offer is initiated.
  1. Data Sharing with Facilities

By applying to a contract through Connect Travel Nurse, you authorize us to share a professional “Candidate Profile” with our healthcare partners. This profile typically includes:

  • Your clinical work history and specialty skills.
  • Relevant certifications and license status.
  • Professional references and competency exam scores.
  • Note: We do not share your Social Security Number or private home address with facilities during the initial screening phase.
  1. Data Minimization & Retention

We follow a “need-to-know” data policy:

  • Retention: We retain candidate records for 3 years after your last active contract to comply with state healthcare staffing audits.
  • Deletion: You may request the deactivation of your profile at any time. Upon request, we will archive your clinical file and cease all marketing communications within 30 days.
  1. Reporting a Security Concern

If you suspect your account has been compromised, or if you notice a discrepancy in your clinical data, please contact our Data Security Officer immediately at security@connecttravelnurse.com.
